Apply to Attend a 2019 C-SPAN Summer Educator Conference

Entrance to C-SPAN's Office building in Washington, D.C.

Would you like to travel to Washington, D.C. for a fully funded professional development conference and learn about civics education?

Then you should apply today to attend one of C-SPAN’s 2019 Summer Educator Conferences.

What Are C-SPAN’s Summer Educator Conferences?

Each year, C-SPAN hosts two Summer Educator Conferences at their office in Washington, D.C.

Each conference lasts two days, and attendees will be exposed to the extensive free resources provided by C-SPAN for classroom teachers. You’ll meet the staff behind C-SPAN classroom along with some of the staff responsible for producing C-SPAN’s video content and video library.

Another highlight of the conference is the dinner on the first night of the conference. Conference attendees attend a fancy dinner at one of city’s hotels, and they are joined by a special guest who will speak on a topic related to civics and education. Past guests include Richard Baker, Senate Historian, and Steve Scully, one of C-SPAN’s political correspondents.

This is also a great way to explore C-SPAN’s offerings and prepare to apply for C-SPAN’s Teacher Fellowship – which is an even greater summer professional development opportunity.

Best of all, the conference is fully funded. They will pay for your travel and lodging

You can read more about C-SPAN’s Summer Educator Conferences on their website here.
